The PRA rule
Every receipt through EIMS, with a PRA QR code.
A notification issued by the Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) on 10 August 2026 requires hotels, restaurants, cafés and coffee shops, marriage halls and other businesses in Punjab to issue their receipts through PRA’s Electronic Invoice Monitoring System (EIMS).
- Handwritten receipts cannot be used as tax receipts.
- Kitchen order slips and unpaid bills are not tax receipts either.
- Each receipt must show the business name, address, receipt number and the PRA QR code.
PRA has already sent EIMS notices to restaurants, hotels and marquees, and in October 2026 it warned food chains and coffee shops that refuse card or digital payments. Press reports mention heavy fines, and sealing of premises for repeat cases. PRA has not published the penalty amounts on its own website, so check the current position with PRA or your tax adviser.

- Your PRA registration and NTN
- Access to your PRA online account, or the accountant who manages it
- The business name and address of each branch, exactly as registered with PRA
- How many counters or tills each branch has
- Your menu with prices (a spreadsheet is fine)
- Receipt printers and an internet connection at each branch. We can check what you have or quote for new equipment.

PRA receipts: questions owners ask
Does Plateform360 print the PRA QR code?
Yes. Plateform360 issues receipts through PRA’s Electronic Invoice Monitoring System (EIMS), with the PRA QR code printed on each receipt.
Can we keep using handwritten bills?
Not as tax receipts. The PRA notification says handwritten receipts, kitchen order slips and unpaid bills cannot serve as tax receipts.
What are the penalties for not complying?
PRA has not published penalty amounts on its own website. Press reports mention heavy fines, and sealing of premises for repeat cases. Check the current position with PRA or your tax adviser.
We run a hotel or a marriage hall. Is Plateform360 right for us?

What does it cost?
A one-time set-up fee and a monthly subscription per branch, both fixed in a written proposal. The PRA integration is priced separately in the same proposal. Hardware is quoted separately, or you can use suitable equipment you already have. See pricing for how a quote works.
How long does it take to go live?
Most single-branch restaurants are live within a few weeks of signing, depending on how quickly the menu and your PRA details are ready.
